AI insights on the dashboard

The AI insights cards on the DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Lifecycle Manager dashboard provides AI-generated recommendations and risk analysis for certificates, enrollments, and certificate endpoints in your business unit. These insights help you to identify issues, security risks, and certificate management trends that may require attention.

Insights are generated using AI and machine learning techniques based on available data. They’re intended as guidance and should be reviewed alongside your organization's internal processes and policies.

These insights are business unit-specific and are updated twice daily. Administrators also have the option to select All business units to view insights across the entire account. If no insights are available for the selected business unit or account, a message appears indicating that no insights are currently available.

Access AI insight cards

Select the AI insights panel on the Dashboard to view up to three insights cards. The insights displayed are based on available data for the selected business unit or account.

On each card, you can:

  • View the highest severity level for that insight category

  • View the total number of highest-severity insights

    The count reflects only the insights at the highest severity level. For example, if a category contains three High insights and four Medium insights, the card displays 3 critical insights.

  • View a summary of the highest-severity finding

  • View the date and time of the most recent update on the top-right

  • Select View details for a drill-in view of every category

AI insight cards

Enrolled certificates

The Enrolled certificates card displays insights related to certificates issued and managed through certificate profiles. These insights help identify enrollment-related risks, such as:

  • Expiring certificates that don’t have automatic renewal enabled

  • Certificate expiry clustering that may increase the risk of renewal outages

  • Manual certificate issuance and renewal that may cause operational risks

Discovered certificates

The Discovered certificates card displays findings based on certificates discovered across your environment. These insights help you identify certificate-related risks and compliance concerns, such as:

  • Certificates with unusually long validity periods

  • Certificates that don’t align with the current browser requirements

  • Certificates that use RSA keys may require post-quantum migration planning

  • Certificates that are undiscovered and don’t have an identified owner

Certificate endpoint analysis

The Certificate endpoint analysis card displays findings related to certificate deployment across endpoints. These insights help identify deployment patterns that may increase security risks, such as:

  • Certificate reused across multiple endpoints

  • Concentrated certificate deployments that increase the impact of certificate failures

  • Internet-facing endpoints with certificate automation gaps

View detailed insights

Select View details on any card to view detailed information for that insight category.

The sidebar lists all available insights for the selected category. Each insight includes a description of the identified issue and its associated severity level. For each insight, you can:

  • Select the Root cause accordion to understand the factors contributing to the issue.

  • Select the Recommendation accordion to view suggested actions for reducing risk or improving certificate management.

  • Select Download CSV to download detailed insights in CSV format.

The sidebar also includes an Export option to download information for all insights in the selected category.
