Complete domain validation
Complete domain control validation from the Order details page for each domain on a pending certificate order.
Before you begin
Select a DCV method for each domain on the order before completing validation.
For detailed steps for each DCV method, see Perform domain control validation (DCV).
For Subscription accounts, domain management is under Validation > Domains rather than Certificates> Domains.
Complete validation from the Order details page
For Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Certificates > Orders.
Select the order number to open the Order details page.
In the Certificate status section, under What do you need to do, select the domain link.
In the Prove control over domain window, confirm the selected DCV method or select a different method.
Complete validation using the selected method.
For Subscription accounts:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to My Digital Trust Products > Certificates.
Select the order number to open the Order details page.
In the Certificate status section, under What do you need to do, select the domain link.
In the Prove control over domain window, confirm the selected DCV method or select a different method.
Complete validation using the selected method.
DigiCert validates the domain after detecting the required validation artifact or receiving approval from the domain contact. When all domains are validated, DigiCert proceeds with certificate issuance.
If validation fails, update the DNS, email, or HTTP configuration and run the validation check again. The certificate remains pending until domain validation is complete for all domains on the order.
