Set up your OTP app
Set up your one-time password (OTP) app for two-factor authentication when you first sign in to CertCentral.
Before you begin
Your CertCentral administrator must add you to CertCentral or reset your OTP method before you start this setup.
Install an authentication app that supports the TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) protocol on your mobile device. The following apps are tested and confirmed compatible:
Google Authenticator: Android, iPhone, Blackberry
Authy: Android, iPhone
Authenticator: Android, iPhone, Windows Phone
Duo Mobile: iPhone
On the CertCentral sign-in page, enter your username and password, then select Sign in. CertCentral redirects you to the One-time password (OTP) device initialization page.
If this is your first sign-in to a new CertCentral account, enter and confirm your new password. [SME: verify this step maps to a live source]
If prompted, set up your security question and answer. [SME: verify this step maps to a live source]
Under Install an authentication application, select your OTP app from the dropdown.
Under Scan QR code or enter setup key, use your OTP app to scan the QR code or enter the setup key.
Under Enter verification code, enter the one-time passcode from your OTP app.
Select Verify device.
Use your OTP app to sign in each time you access CertCentral.
