EU (eIDAS) products

DigiCert offers two types of EU (eIDAS) products: signing certificates and TLS certificates. We also provide signing and TLS certificates required for compliance with Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).

The EU (eIDAS) products are only available in DigiCert's European instance of CertCentral, where we store your data in our Europe data centers.

Privacy policy and data collection

  • Privacy policy: The common name, SANs, individual name, organization name, and the city/local, state/province, and country where the person or organization is located will be included in the certificate. All other information provided in the request is used to process your request. All personal details are handled in accordance with data protection laws.

  • Data collection: The applicant confirms that the personal details provided in this application are provided with the permission of the person concerned and that that person is aware of his/her rights in respect of these details.

  • An eIDAS Qualified certificate issued to an organisation for website authentication that meets the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) requirements

  • Used to identify banks and payment service providers (PSPs), verify the roles for which they are licensed, encrypt website traffic, and identify who controls the domain
