Powered by DigiCert​​®​​ TrustCore SDK, TrustEdge agent manages essential functions for provisioning and ongoing lifecycle activities on supported IoT devices.

Description

Authentication

Authenticates the device with Device Trust Manager Rendezvous using its bootstrap credential to establish a secure connection.

Certificate management

Requests and renews operational certificates to maintain secure communication throughout the device’s lifecycle.

Software updates

Checks for, downloads, and installs software updates to keep the device up-to-date and secure.

Secure element interaction

Interfaces with secure elements on the device, such as a TPM, to support enhanced security.


TrustEdge agent configuration

TrustEdge agent runs as a Linux daemon and includes lightweight command-line interface tools that allow you to configure logging settings and specify the path to the bootstrap configuration file. By design, TrustEdge agent is generic and extensible while providing default setup and configurations that will work in most environments.
