Revoke user access

If a user is no longer needed, a DigiCert​​®​​ Document Trust Manager user with Client admin (AS), DTM admin (SS) or Validation specialist (SS) permissions can revoke access.

To revoke user access to DigiCert​​®​​ Document Trust Manager, follow these steps:

1. Delete validation in DigiCert​​®​​ Document Trust Manager

When you delete a validation, all credentials connected to it are revoked.

To delete a validation:

  1. In DigiCert ONE, in the Manager menu (top right), select Document Trust.

  2. In the DigiCert​​®​​ Document Trust Manager menu, select Validations > Validations.

  3. Hover over the validation you want to delete, select More actions > Delete validation.

  4. A pop-up window will appear. From the dropdown menu, select the reason for deleting validation.

    Reasons for deleting validations

    Key compromise

    A computer is stolen or a smart card is lost.

    Affiliation changed

    An employee is terminated or suspended.

    Superseded

    If a smart card fails or the legal name of a user has changed.

    Cessation of operation

    An issued certificate is replaced.

  5. Select Delete.

2. Notify DigiCert​​®​​ support team

Contact the support team to notify them when a user is no longer needed.
