Certificate profiles
A certificate profile defines the configuration options for a specific type of certificate, including:
Seat type
Business unit
Issuing CA
Enrollment method
Certificate fields
Cryptographic settings
Lifecycle actions
Certificate profiles are based on certificate templates. To create a certificate profile, you select a certificate template as the starting point, and then customize it for your specific business needs.
When you issue a certificate from your DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager account, you select a certificate profile to use. The certificate gets issued with the options from that certificate profile and consumes the seat type for it.
