Log settings

DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Assistant provides configurable logging options to help you monitor and troubleshoot issues. You can adjust the log level to control the information recorded in logs.

Accessing log settings

To access the log settings, perform the following steps:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Assistant application.

  2. Select the Enable advanced mode option from the navigation header context menu. For more information, refer to Advanced mode.

  3. Select Advanced from the left navigation panel.

  4. Under the Advanced section, select Settings.

  5. Under the Settings section, select the Log tab.

  6. Select Log level. The available log level options are:

    • Basic - Info level: This default logging level captures essential system messages, offering general monitoring without excess details.

    • Detailed - Debug level: This log has detailed debugging information, including internal operations. It is recommended to use it for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.

    • Advanced - Verbose level: This log has all the available details, including extensive debugging data. It is labeled as silly in the log files.

Changing log level

To change the log level, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the Log level dropdown menu.

  2. Select the desired log level from available options.

  3. Select Save to apply changes.
