Proxy settings

DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Assistantsupports proxy configuration in two ways to allow flexibility based on your network requirements.

System proxy configuration

By default, DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Assistantautomatically inherits your system's proxy settings and doesn’t require any additional setup for unauthenticated proxies.

However, if your proxy requires basic authentication, perform the following steps to configure your credentials:

  1. Select the Enable advanced mode option from the navigation header context menu. For more information, refer to Advanced mode.

  2. Select Advanced from the left navigation panel.

  3. Under the Advanced section, select Settings.

  4. Enable the Require authentication checkbox and enter your Username and Password to authenticate with the proxy server.

  5. Select Save to apply your proxy settings.

Custom proxy configuration

DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Assistant allows you to manually configure a custom proxy. This feature is particularly useful for environments with specific proxy requirements.

To manually configure a proxy settings, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the Enable advanced mode option from the navigation header context menu. For more information, refer to Advanced mode.

  2. Select Advanced from the left navigation panel.

  3. Under the Advanced section, select Settings.

  4. Select the Custom option to manually configure proxy settings.

  5. Depending on your network setup, select the Proxy type. The available options are:

    • HTTP/HTTPS: If selected, enter the Proxy server address and Port details.

    • PAC: If selected, enter the PAC file URL provided by your network administrator.

    If authentication is required, enable the Require authentication checkbox and enter your Username and Password.

  6. Select Save to apply your custom proxy settings.
