Delete and restore a certificate template
If a certificate template is no longer needed, you can delete it. Deleting a certificate template removes it from forms where template data is required, such as creating a certificate profile. It also removes it from the list of templates on the Certificate templates page.
You must be a system administrator with DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager permissions to delete and restore certificate templates.
Note
Deleting a certificate template does not affect certificate profiles or enrollment profiles that rely on it. They will continue to work as expected.
If you end up needing to use a deleted certificate template again, you can restore it. After you restore a certificate template, it will appear on forms where certificate template data is required, such as creating a certificate profile. It also appears in the list of templates on the Certificate templates page.
In DigiCert ONE®, in the Manager menu (top right), select DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager.
In the DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager menu, select Certificates > Certificate template.
On the Certificate templates page, locate the template and select ellipses > Delete.
In the Delete popup window, select Delete.
When you return to the Certificate templates page, the Status of the template changes to Deleted, and the template no longer appears on forms where certificate template data is required.
In DigiCert ONE®, in the Manager menu (top right), select DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager.
In the DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager menu, select Certificates > Certificate template.
On the Certificate templates page, in the Filter by column dropdown, select Status. In the Filter by value dropdown, select Deleted.
Locate the template and select ellipses > Undelete.
When you return to the Certificate templates page, the template is now Active and appears in the list of templates. The template will now appear on forms where certificate template data is required.
