Jira
If you use Atlassian Jira, you can create remediation tasks in Jira from Quantum Central.
Move from discovery to remediation by creating tasks in Jira and assigning them to application owners. Owners can then work with vendors or internal teams to upgrade or replace the application or system.
To integrate Quantum Central with Atlassian Jira:
To get your Jira email ID:
Sign in to your Jira account at:
https://{your company}.atlassian.net/In the top, right corner, click the icon with your initials or profile picture.
Copy your Jira email address displayed there.
Stay signed in for the next step.
To get your Jira API key:
While still signed into your Jira account, select Account settings, Security.
Scroll down to API tokens and select Create and manage API tokens.
Select Create API token.
Enter a Name (e.g. QuantumCentral) and select the Expires on date.
Select Create and copy the API key value.
Select Done.
Once you have the Jira email address and API key:
Sign in to Quantum Central.
Select Integrations, Atlassian Jira in the left navigation.
Configure the Jira integration:
Integration name: Enter a friendly name.
Project key: This is the Jira project where Quantum Central tasks are created.
API key: Enter the API key that you copied from Jira.
Base URL: Enter the base URL to your Jira instance (e.g.,
https://{your company}.atlassian.net/)User email: Enter the Jira email you copied from Jira.
Select Save.
You can see the Jira integration added on your Integrations page.
It might take some time for the integration to show as Active. If it shows as Inactive, click Test, to check if the connection is successful.
Create a Jira issue
When Jira is connected, you can start creating Jira issues for the assets in your Inventory.
To create a Jira issue:, select the three dots menu in the Actions column and select Create Jira.
Select Inventory in the left navigation
Pick an asset, select the three dots menu in the Actions column, and select Create Jira.
Enter the Summary and Description of the issue. Quantum Central automatically adds the asset information to the summary and description. You can change it as needed.
Select an Issue type and Priority.
Select Create issue
Your Jira issue is created. You can see the issue ID added in the Tasks column on the Inventory page.
You can select the issue ID to see it in Jira.
