Submit an organization for validation before requesting certificates for it. Validating an organization before ordering certificates allows faster certificate issuance — when DigiCert receives the request, the organization validation is already complete.
The validation type you select corresponds to the certificate types you want to request for the organization. For example, selecting OV — Normal Organization Validation authorizes the organization for OV TLS/SSL certificates.
Before you begin
The organization must be added to your CertCentral account before you submit it for validation. See Learn how to add an organization to your CertCentral account.
Confirm the certificate types you want to request for the organization so you select the correct validation types below.
Second, decide what types of certificates you want to get for the organization. When submitting an organization for validation, the validation type corresponds with a certificate or type of certificate. For example, OV—Normal Organization Validation allows you to order OV TLS certificates for the organization.
Third, validating organizations before ordering certificates for them quickens the certificate issuance process. When DigiCert receives the request, we don't need to validate the organization because we've already validated it.
Submit an organization for validation
在您的 CertCentral 帐户的侧栏菜单中，单击证书 > 组织。
For Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts: go to Certificates > Organizations.
For Subscription accounts: go to the Validation > Organizations.

警告
After you add an individual as a verified contact for EV, EV CS, or CS validation, you cannot remove them. Confirm the contact's details are accurate before adding.

In the Add Contact window, select Existing Contact.

Select the certificate types the contact can approve: EV, EV CS, or CS.

In the Add Contact window, select New Contact.

Repeat for each additional verified contact required.

Complete organization validation
DigiCert must validate and authenticate your authority to order certificates on behalf of the organization. To do this, we call a verified phone number to speak with someone who represents the organization, such as the organization contact.
To get organization consent:
Answer the organization/validation phone call (preferred method).
Ensure that the organization contact and the company receptionist are aware that you've submitted your organization for validation.
Let them know that DigiCert needs to call a verified phone number to speak with one of them to finish the organization validation/authentication process.
Respond to the organization consent message.
If the DigiCert validation agent can't reach someone, they leave a message that includes a call-back phone number and a verification code.
If the DigiCert validation agent leaves a message, make sure that the organization contact responds to the message and provides us with the verification code.
