Device management
Some device types are:
A consumer device (such as a smart door lock)
An industrial device (such as a welding robot or pipeline flow meter)
A commercial device (such as a commercial barista machine or a building security camera)
A medical device (such as a glucose monitor)
Understand the Devices table
When you register a device, an entry will be created in the Devices table in Device Trust Manager > Device management > Devices.
The following table describes the components of the Devices table:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Device name | This column displays the alias of the registered device. |
Job status | When applicable, this column displays the status of any corresponding job that is running for the device. |
Device group | This column displays the associated device group. Every registered device is associated with a device group. |
Device state | This column displays the state of the device, which can be:

Connection status | This column displays the device’s connection status with DigiCert ONE, which can be:
|
Date registered | This column displays the date and time that the device was registered by the user. |
Before you begin
To manage, monitor, and update a device, you must register the device with Device Trust Manager. A registered device allows you to search, filter, group, and obtain device connection information.
To register a device, you must have the following assets available:
A device group
