Create divisions

When you open DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager for the first time, we use your account name to create a default division. You only need one division for DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager. However, adding more divisions can be helpful to partition the management of your IoT devices and certificates.

The following DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager items are displayed by division:

  • Device profiles

  • Enrollment profiles

  • Devices

  • Certificates

  • Enrollment passcodes

  • Imported jobs

Create a division

  1. In DigiCert ONE®, in the Manager menu (top right), select DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager.

  2. In the DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager menu, select Divisions.

  3. On the divisions page, select Create new division.

  4. On the Create new division page, do the following:

    1. Enter division name

      This name is how you identify the division on the Divisions page on forms that allow you to assign an asset to a division, such as the Create new device profile form.

    2. Enter a brief description of the division

      This description appears next to the name on the divisions page.

      Note that after you create the division, you can update the division name and description as needed.

  5. Select Create.

What's next

You can now assign users to this division and create device profiles for the division. After you create a division, you can update the division name and description as needed.
