Configure your DigiCert Smart Seal
DigiCert Secure Site Pro and Secure Site TLS/SSL certificates come with the most recognized trust marks on the web, the DigiCert Smart Seal. Use this premium site seal to display proof of trust on your site. The site seal is available in your CertCentral account.
Notice
The DigiCert Smart Seal doesn’t set or use cookies of any kind.
Before you begin
Verify that DigiCert has issued your certificate and you have the certificate's order number. Site seals are tied to the issued certificate’s order. You access the site seal from your issued certificate's Order # details page..
Previewing your site seal and information page changes
Your site seal and information page changes may take up to two hours to appear on your website. DigiCert recommends using the preview feature on the Site seal page to review your modifications before they appear on your website.
Company logos
The DigiCert Smart Seal lets you add your company logo to the site seal. Before uploading your company logo, make sure it’s formatted correctly:
File format must be SVG Tiny Portable/Secure file.
The image should have a square aspect ratio (1:1).
Use non-transparent backgrounds.
Center the image.
A centered image appears optimally in a circle.
DigiCert must approve company logos
Upload your company logo to your certificate order. Preview it in your site seal's hover-over effect and animation to review the changes. Then save your site seal configuration.
DigiCert must approve your company logo before it appears in the DigiCert Smart Seal on your website.
Your company logo must:
Accurately represent the organization as listed on the certificate.
Not contain obscene or pornographic images.
Not contain profanity or offensive language.
The Smart Seal animation works without your logo. When approved, the Smart Seal on your website updates automatically to include your logo.
Site seal information page
When you interact with the DigiCert Smart Seal, you see details about the domain, the organization, the TLS/SSL certificate, and the validation.
Secure Site and Secure Site Pro certificates allow you to add information to the site seal information page. This additional information enables site visitors to see the steps you take to ensure your website is secure:
Date of the most recently finished blocklist check
Date you enabled Certificate Transparency (CT) log monitoring for your website's domain
Date of the most recently finished malware scan
Date of the most recently finished Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance scan
How long you've been a DigiCert customer
CT Log monitoring
CT log monitoring is included with Secure Site Pro certificates. Before adding CT log monitoring to your site seal's information page, you must enable the CT log monitoring service for your certificate order.
