Add an organization to CertCentral
CertCentral allows you to add organizations to your account before you begin ordering certificates for them.
Once added, you can submit the organization for validation. Also, the organization now appears in the organization menu on the certificate request forms. This makes it easier for you to include the correct organization on the order.
Add an organization
In CertCentral, in the left main menu, go to Certificates > Organizations.
For CertCentral Subscription accounts, go to Validation > Organizations.
On the Organizations page, select New Organization.
On the New Organization page, under Organization details, enter your organization information:
Legal name
Enter the organization name exactly as it appears in corporate registries, such as local government registration records.
Assumed name (optional)
Organization’s doing business as (DBA) name.
This name appears on the certificates. You can leave this box blank.
Note: Adding an assumed name requires extra validation, which may delay organization validation.
Organization phone number
Phone number at which we can contact the organization.
DigiCert must call a verified organization phone number to confirm your authority to order a certificate for the organization. To verify this phone number, we check it against online third-party address listing sources like Google Business. Learn more about how we confirm your authority.
Country
Country where the organization is legally located.
Address 1
Address where the organization is legally located.
Address 2
Other address information, such as a Suite number.
City
City where the organization is legally located.
State / Province / Territory/ Region / County:
State, province, or region where the organization is legally located.
Zip / Postal Code
Zip or postal code for the organization’s location.
Under Organization contact, enter the contact's information: first and last name, job title, email, and phone number.
Once ready, select Save organization.
What's next
The organization now appears in the organization menu on certificate request forms. Also, you can now submit the organization for validation. See Submit an organization for prevalidation.
