Disable your API token

Disabling an API token temporarily suspends its use without deleting it. This allows you to re-enable it later if needed.

It may be useful to you to disable an API token if:

  • The token is not needed right now but may be used later.

  • You are troubleshooting API access and need to test without deleting the token.

  • You suspect unauthorized use and want to pause access without permanent deletion.

Before you begin

  • Disabled tokens can be re-enabled, but API integrations will stop working immediately.

  • If your integrations rely on this token, replace it with a new one before disabling it to prevent service disruptions.

To disable your API token

  1. In the top-right corner, select the profile icon > View my user details.

  2. In the API keys section, find the key you want to disable.

  3. Next to the key name, select more actions () > Disable.
