Add a new version of a plugin

You can upload a new version of an existing plugin on DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager.

Add a new version of a plugin

  1. From the Trust Lifecycle Manager main menu, go to Integrations > Plugins.

  2. Find the plugin you want to replace, and select the pencil icon in the rightmost column of the table.

  3. Make the following updates in the Edit plugin details sidebar:

    Note

When editing an existing plugin, you can only edit the version number and upload a new plugin (.zip) file.

    • Version: Enter a version number for the plugin in the x.x.x format.

To help identify the new plugin, we recommend that you use a different version number.

    •  Use the Upload linux/windows plugin widget to drag and drop or browse to select a new plugin (.zip) file to upload. Once uploaded, the name of the plugin file appears below the widget. To discard the plugin file and upload a different one instead, select the Delete  icon.

      Note

The maximum size of the plugin (.zip) file should not exceed 100 MB.

  4. The verification process might take up to 10 minutes. You can check the status of the verification on the Integrations > Plugins page.

    Warning

Do not close the Create custom plugin sidebar when the files are being uploaded. You will lose all data if you close the sidebar during the file upload process.

Notes about versioning

When you add a new version of an existing plugin:

  • The previous version of the plugin remains Active and is used for scheduled automation events until the new plugin passes the verification process.

  • Once the new version is verified, it is marked as Active and the previous version is marked as Replaced. The new version of the plugin is used for all subsequent automation events.

  • If the new version of the plugin fails verification, the previous version remains the Active one. Review the new version for any malicious content and then try adding it again.

  • To view the current statuses of both the new and previous versions of the plugin, find the plugin on the Integrations > Plugins  page, and select the information icon in the rightmost column of the table. The plugin information is displayed under Version history on the Plugin details sidebar.
