Legacy account path
The Legacy account path applies to accounts created under earlier CertCentral models. These accounts may not support newer features, workflows, or billing structures available in current account types.
How Legacy accounts are structured
Legacy accounts typically follow older configuration models that may not align with current CertCentral structures:
Limited support for divisions or advanced segmentation
Older billing and payment configurations
Differences in user roles and permission models
Legacy configurations can vary depending on when the account was created and how it has been maintained. To verify your account type, see Identify your CertCentral account type.
Key characteristics of Legacy accounts
Legacy accounts may include:
Compatibility with older certificate workflows
Limited access to newer automation or integration features
Differences in user interface and configuration options
Constraints in adopting newer account structures
When to use a Legacy account
Use a Legacy account if your organization:
Operates under an existing account that has not migrated
Requires continuity for existing certificate workflows
Has not transitioned to newer account models
As a best practice, evaluate whether migrating to a current account type improves access to features and simplifies management.
