Rimuovi la fase di approvazione dal processo di ordine certificato

For immediate TLS certificate issuance, skip the approval step in the certificate issuance process.

By default, CertCentral accounts are configured for one-step certificate request approvals. A CertCentral administrator must approve a certificate request before DigiCert can process the order. However, for your CertCentral administrators and managers, you can skip the approval step in the OV/EV TLS certificate issuance workflow.

To enable immediate certificate issuance, you must skip the approval step in your certificate issuance process. Then, if the domains and organization in the request are validated, the certificate is issued automatically.

Importante

CertCentral Subscription accounts

For subscription accounts, the certificate issuance process does not include an approval step. Orders are automatically submitted to DigiCert for processing.

Before you begin

This section outlines some things you may want to consider before skipping the approval step in your TLS certificate issuance process.

How the skip approval process works

When you skip the approval step, orders without an approval step get submitted directly to DigiCert for certificate issuance. CertCentral won't add these requests to the Requests page (in the left menu, go to Certificates > Requests).

Instead, CertCentral adds the order to the Orders page (in the left menu, go to Certificate > Orders) with one of the following statuses:

  • Issued: When the domain and organization validations are valid, DigiCert automatically issues the certificate.

  • Pending: When the domain and/or organization validation is required, or the order needs verified contact approval, CertCentral places the order in a pending state until the necessary validations and/or approval are completed.

Approvals may still be required

  • Administrator’s request approval

Administrators must still approve TLS certificate requests for the Finance Manager, Standard User, and Limited User roles, Guest URL and Guest access requests, and all certificate revocation requests.

  • Verified contact’s order approval

A verified contact (designated EV approver) may still need to approve administrators' and managers' EV TLS certificate orders before DigiCert can issue this type of TLS certificate. To remove the verified contact approval step from the EV TLS certificate issuance workflow, administrators and managers must also be designated EV approvers (verified contacts) for the organization included on the certificate.

Skip the approval step for administrators and managers

  1. In CertCentral, in the left menu, go to Settings > Preferences.

  2. On the Preferences page, expand Advanced Settings.

  3. In the Certificate Requests section, under Approval steps, select Skip the approval step for certificate requests from Administrators and Managers.

  4. At the bottom of the page, select Save Settings.

Passaggi successivi

You've skipped the approval step in the OV and EV TLS certificate issuance workflows for your CertCentral administrators and managers. The next time an administrator or manager orders an OV or EV TLS certificate, CertCentral will automatically submit the order to DigiCert for processing. We will issue the certificate immediately if the domain and organization validations are valid.

EV TLS certificates

If the administrator or manager is not a verified contact (designated EV approver) for the organization on the certificate, a designated EV approver must approve the EV TLS certificate order before DigiCert can issue the certificate.
