Activate domains in CertCentral

Learn how to activate a deactivated domain in CertCentral.

Before you begin

To activate a deactivated domain  in your account, you must be a CertCentral administrator. Activating a domain allows you to issue certificates for that domain.

Activate a deactivated domain

  1. In the CertCentral main menu,

    • For Enterprise and Partner accounts: go to Certificates > Domains.

    • For Subscription accounts: go to Validations > Domains.

  2. On the Domains page, in the Domain status menu, select Deactivated and then select Go.

  3. In the Domain name column, select the domain you want to activate.

  4. On the domain details page, in the Domain actions menu select Activate domain.

  5. In the Activate Domain window, select Activate domain.

The domain is activated in the CertCentral account and you can issue certificates for this domain.

What’s next

Request a TLS/SSL certificate for the domain you just activated. Choose the certificate type (DV, OV, or EV) based on your validation requirements. See Request OV TLS/SSL certificate.
