Request mark certificate

Use these steps to request a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) in CertCentral. Mark certificates display your organization's brand logo in supported email clients alongside authenticated email messages.

This procedure applies to Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts.

Notice

For Subscription accounts, request DV certificates through your active subscription. In the CertCentral menu, go to My digital trust products > My subscription. Find the relevant subscription and select Actions > Request a certificate. See Request a VMC or CMC certificate from a CertCentral subscription..

Before you begin

  • The organization must be active and validated in your account.

  • A validated verified contact must be available to approve the mark certificate order.

  • A trademark registration for the logo must be confirmed before submitting the request.

  • The logo file must meet DigiCert format and validation requirements before upload.

Start a certificate request

For Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts:

  1. In the CertCentral main menu, go to Certificates > Request certificate.

  2. Select Verified Mark Certificate.

    Available products:

    • Verified Mark Certificate

    • Common Mark Certificate

    Notice

Common Mark Certificate may not be visible in all accounts. If Common Mark Certificate does not appear, contact your account manager to enable it. In your CertCentral menu, go to Settings > Product Settings.

Select or add the organization

  1. Select an existing validated organization from the list.

  2. If the organization is not listed, select Add organization and complete the organization details.

If the organization has not been validated for the required certificate type, DigiCert must complete organization validation before issuance.

Upload required assets

  1. Upload the approved trademark or logo file.

  2. Provide any required supporting documentation for trademark verification.

    Suggerimento

DigiCert can host your logo SVG file and PEM certificate file for you. On the order form, select I want DigiCert to host my files. After DigiCert issues the certificate, retrieve your hosted file URLs from the Order details page. For setup instructions, see Image and file hosting for VMC and CMC.

Ensure the logo meets format and validation requirements before submitting the request. DigiCert verifies the trademark before issuing the certificate.

Add or confirm verified contacts

A verified contact must approve the mark certificate order before DigiCert issues the certificate.

  1. Under Verified Contacts, select an existing verified contact or select Add contact.

  2. Select the appropriate certificate type the contact can approve.

  3. Submit the verified contact for validation if not already validated.

DigiCert must validate the verified contact before they can approve certificate orders.

Submit the request

  1. Review the order details.

  2. Select the payment method.

  3. Read and accept the Certificate Services Agreement.

  4. Select Submit.

The certificate remains pending until organization validation, trademark verification, and verified contact approval are all complete. DigiCert issues the certificate after all required validations and approvals are complete.
