Validate domains and perform DNS validation checks
Important
As of February 24, 2026, the domain validation reuse period is limited to 199 days. Learn more about Domain validation requirements and reuse periods.
DNS integrations automate domain validation by creating and updating DNS TXT records used for validation. When configured through integrations such as UltraDNS, CertCentral automatically validates domains and periodically revalidates them to maintain valid domain validation status throughout the allowed reuse period.
Automated DNS validation workflow:
CertCentral generates a validation value for the domain.
The DNS integration places the value in the DNS TXT record for the domain.
CertCentral checks the DNS record to confirm the validation value.
When confirmed, the domain validation status updates and the reuse period resets.
CertCentral continues to revalidate automatically before the reuse period expires.
Continuous DNS validation ensures domain validation remains current so certificate issuance and renewal proceed without manual validation steps.
