  3. On the Add user page, in the User details section, enter the individual's information: first and last name, email address, phone number, and job title.

Does this person need to request extended validation (EV) certificates?

Phone number and job title are required if requesting EV certificates, such as EV TLS and EV code signing certificates.

  4. In the User access section, set up division restrictions if needed, verify their username, and assign them a role.

      1. Select this option to restrict the role to specific divisions

Note: This option appears when using divisions in CertCentral.

      2. In the User is restricted to the following divisions menu, select the divisions to which the role is restricted.

    2. Username

CertCentral populates this box with the email address you entered in the User details section. Although you can create a unique username for each user, DigiCert recommends using their email address.

    3. Role

Depending on how your account was set up, you may have up to five roles to select from: Administrator, Finance Manager, Manager, Standard User, and Limited User.

To create a Limited User role, select Standard User and then select Limit to placing and managing their own orders.

  5. When ready, select Add user.

E depois?

CertCentral sends the new user the "DigiCert User Account Created - Action Required" email. This email has instructions for creating their account credentials (password and two-factor authentication), allowing them to sign in to their CertCentral account.
