Reset two-factor authentication (2FA)

When 2FA is reset, DigiCert sends an email to the user with instructions to reset their mobile authenticator application. There are two methods to reset 2FA:

To reset the authenticator for a user in your account

  1. In DigiCert​​®​​ account, select Access ().

  2. Hover over the user's name until the more actions (⁝) icon appears.

  3. Select more actions (⁝) > Reset user credentials.

  4. Select the radio button next to Reset two-factor authentication.

  5. Select Send email.

Note

The reset instructions are sent to the email address linked to your username.

Switch to email authentication

If you’re unable to access your authenticator app, you can receive a one time code via email to access your account.

  1. Begin the sign in workflow for DigiCert account.

  2. Enter your username.

  3. Enter your password.

  4. On the screen requesting your Authenticator app one time code or your client authentication certificate, select Select a different verification method.

  5. Select Email authentication.
