Send an alert to a webhook

Configure an alert to send a notification of the event to a webhook. You can then route and use the message within your environment based on your specific needs and policies.

Important

Before you begin: Make sure you add your webhook endpoint to your delivery settings.

Send a message to a webhook when an alert is triggered

  1. Sign into your DigiCert application and go to the alerts tool.

    • Trust Lifecyle Manager: Policies > Alerts

  2. Create or update an alert.

  3. In the Delivery section:

    • If the alert does not have a Webhook action, select Add. Then for Action, select Webhook.

    • If there is already a Webhook action, select the Edit (pencil) icon.

  4. Select the Webhook name that you want to send the alert message to.

  5. Optional: Review and edit the Webhook message.

    Caution

    Use caution when editing the webhook content. Incorrect formatting and syntax will compromise the message.

  6. Select Add or Update.
