CertCentral: Add a user

Use DigiCert account to add users to CertCentral

To add users to CertCentral, add the user to your DigiCert account and then assign them to CertCentral.

Add a user to CertCentral

  1. In CertCentral, go to Account > Users.

  2. On the Users page, select Add user.

    Selecting Add user takes you to DigiCert account.

  3. In DigiCert account, add the user and assign them to CertCentral.

What's next

For the administrator approval process

  1. New user receives an email with instructions and a link to sign in to DigiCert account and set up two-factor authentication.

  2. In DigiCert account, the new user selects CertCentral, verifies their information, and accepts their invitation.

  3. CertCentral administrators receive an email notification from DigiCert account that someone wants access to CertCentral.

  4. In CertCentral, an administrator approves the new user, assigns the user a role, and sets up division restrictions, if using divisions. See CertCentral: Approve the new user and assign permission.

  5. The new user receives an email notification that their CertCentral access has been approved.

  6. In DigiCert account, the new user selects CertCentral and lands on the CertCentral dashboard.

For the automatic process using a default role

  1. The new user receives an email notification with instructions and a link to sign in to DigiCert account and set up their two-factor authentication.

  2. In DigiCert account, the new user selects CertCentral and lands on the CertCentral dashboard.

  3. The CertCentral administrator receives a notification email that a new user signed in to CertCentral.

  4. (Optional) In CertCentral, an administrator updates the user's role and division restrictions, as needed. See Update a user's CertCentral access.
