Five-step certificate issuance process

DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager has a five-step process for getting your IoT device certificates.

To get a certificate for a device:

  1. Create certificate templates

  2. Create device profiles

  3. Create certificate profiles

  4. Create enrollment profiles

  5. Request certificates

Once the initial process is in place, repeat step five to get more certificates for your devices. However, create additional certificate templates, device profiles, certificate profiles, and enrollment profiles as needed. This ability to customize your IoT device certificate issuance process enables DigiCert​​®​​ IoT Trust Manager to meet the needs of your IoT device deployments now and as they grow.
