Manage ACME-based certificates

Use the below methods to manage certificates that were issued through a third-party ACME client:

  • In the DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Lifecycle Manager web console, use the actions available from your Inventory page to manage all your existing certificates in one place. See the list of available management actions below.

  • On your servers, use the same third-party ACME clients that you used to request and install certificates from Trust Lifecycle Manager to manage the lifecycles of those certificates on an ongoing basis. You can renew, reissue, and duplicate your existing certificates this way.

Manage certificates in Trust Lifecycle Manager

Manage ACME-based certificates from the Inventory page in DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Lifecycle Manager. ACME-based certificates show 3rd-party ACME client in the Enrollment method column.

  • To manage an individual certificate, use the actions (three dots) menu next to the Common name in the certificate listing.

  • To bulk manage certificates, first use the checkboxes on the left to select the applicable certificates. Then hover one of the selected certificates and select an available bulk action from the dropdown menu next to the Common name.

Available management actions

Trust Lifecycle Manager provides the following management functions for existing certificates, including those issued via ACME.

Permanently revoke a certificate.

Suspend

Temporarily disable a certificate.

Resume

Re-enable a suspended certificate.

Download

Download a local copy of a certificate.

View audit trail

View the audit log for a certificate.

Recover

Recover an escrowed certificate.
