Microsoft Windows: Activate or start a sensor

Before you begin

  • Verify the sensor has been installed.

  • You must have experience working with Microsoft Windows systems.

  • You must have administrative permissions to activate the sensor.

  • You must have the necessary permissions in CertCentral.

Activate sensor

Use the start.bat command to activate and start the sensor. If the sensor is activated but not started, you can use the same command to start the sensor.

  1. Go to the install_dir/cli, where install_dir is the sensor installation directory.

  2. Run the start.bat command.

  3. When prompted, enter your CertCentral username and password.

  4. Select the division you want to assign the sensor to.

    If you don't have divisions, we return the name of the organization for your account.
