Configure your DigiCert brand site seal

DigiCert Basic, Thawte, and GeoTrust TLS/SSL certificates come with a non-animated, site seal. When you click one of these site seals, you see additional details about the domain, the organization, the TLS/SSL certificate, and the validation.

The site seal brand is tied to the certificate brand. In other words, to display the DigiCert seal, you need to have a DigiCert Secure Site or Secure Site Pro TLS/SSL certificate installed on your site. To display the DigiCert site seal or GeoTrust site seal, you need to have a Basic or GeoTrust TLS/SSL certificate installed on your site.

Notice

DigiCert Secure Site and Secure Site Pro TLS/SSL certificates include the two most recognized trust marks on the web: DigiCert Smart Seal and Norton seal -- Configure your DigiCert Smart Seal or Norton seal.

Note

The DigiCert Smart Seal and brand site seals do not set or use cookies of any kind.

Before you begin

Make sure DigiCert has issued your certificate, and you have the certificate's order number. Site seals are tied to the issued certificate order. You can only access the site seal from your issued certificate's Order # details page.

Configure your site seal

  1. In your CertCentral account, in the left main menu, go to Certificates > Orders.

  2. On the Orders page, in the Order # column, click the certificate's order number link.

  3. On the Order # details page, click Site Seal.

  4. On the Site Seal page, in the Configure the seal section, select your site seal size.

    • Small

    • Standard

    • Large

  5. In the Preview section, click the site seal to preview your site seal's information page.

    DigiCert Basic, Thawte, and GeoTrust TLS/SSL certificates allow you to add additional information to the site seal information page. To Preview your changes, you must first click Save changes. If you don’t, the preview will not show your recent changes.

    Verified customer

    To display how long you’ve been a DigiCert customer, check Enable. Site visitors can see how long you’ve been using one of the most trusted names in TLS/SSL certificates to protect your sites.

  7. When you are ready, click Save configuration.

Important

Site seal modifications may take up to 2 hours to appear on your website.
