Delete a validation

The Validations page shows all existing validations. When you delete a validation, all certificates connected to it are revoked.

Tip

Revocation is the process of removing the validity of a certificate.

To delete a validation:

  1. In DigiCert ONE, in the Manager menu (top right), select Document Trust.

  2. In the DigiCert​​®​​ Document Trust Manager menu, select Validations > Validations.

  3. Hover over the validation you want to delete, select More actions > Delete validation.

  4. A pop-up window will appear. From the dropdown menu, select the reason for deleting validation.

    Key compromise

    A computer is stolen or a smart card is lost.

    Affiliation changed

    An employee is terminated or suspended.

    Superseded

    If a smart card fails or the legal name of a user has changed.

    Cessation of operation

    An issued certificate is replaced.


  5. Select Delete.
