Review all OV domains affected by the reduced 397-day validity period
Starting on September 27, 2021, industry changes shorten your domains’ validity period to 397 days. To prepare for this industry change, check your OV domains that were disrupted by the new policy before September 27, 2021.
Note
Domains revalidated before September 27, 2021, won’t be affected by industry changes.
For example:
The current OV validation for www.digicert.com expired August 13, 2022 after its 825-day period (May 15 2020 + 825 days).
If you revalidated that domain on June 30, 2021, the expiration date moved to October 3, 2023 (June 30, 2021 + 825 days).
At the end of September 2021, the validation reuse period truncated to August 1, 2022 (June 30, 2021 + 397 days).
