Add a DNS integration for domain validation

Add a DNS integration to automate domain validation checks during certificate lifecycle automation events. DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager supports a wide variety of different DNS providers that you can use to automate your systems.

When configuring a new DNS integration, you can:

  • Assign it to specific network appliances, cloud services, or DigiCert agents to use for validating domains during certificate lifecycle events.

  • Mark it as the default DNS integration to use for domain validation by any automated systems that do not have a specific DNS integration assigned.

Add the connector

To add a DNS integration connector in Trust Lifecycle Manager:

  1. In the Trust Lifecycle Manager menu, go to Integrations > Connectors.

  2. Select the Add connector button.

  3. In the DNS integrations section, select the tile for the DNS provider to connect to:

    • If the DNS provider has its own tile, select it.

    • If the provider does not have its own tile, use the Others tile to search for and select the provider by name.

Complete the Add connector form as described in the following steps.

  4. Enter a friendly Name for this connector.

  5. Select a Business unit for the connector. Only users assigned to this business unit can manage the connector.

  6. Fill in the requested credentials to connect to your DNS account. Required credentials vary by provider.

  7. (Optional) Select the checkbox to Make this the default integration for domain validation purposes. If enabled, any automated systems that do not have a specific DNS integration assigned will use this default integration.

  8. (Optional) Fill out the Assign this DNS integration to your systems section to select specific network appliances, cloud services, or DigiCert agents in your Trust Lifecycle Manager account that should use this DNS integration for domain validation. DigiCert agents can be assigned individually or via agent groups.

  9. Select Add to finish adding the new DNS integration.
