Grant a "Limited User" access to a certificate order

Before you begin

Instead of changing the role of a user with limited access, grant the user access to a specific order or issued certificate.

Note

The individual with "limited" role can see certificates they’ve ordered. To allow a "restricted" admin, manager, financial manager, or standard user to manage the order, add them to the division. See unrestricted versus restricted.

Grant a limited user access to a certificate order

While the certificate order is active, you can add users.

  1. In CertCentral, in the left menu, select Certificates > Orders.

  2. On the Orders page, find the order to which you need to grant the limited user access.

  3. In the Order # column, select the Quick View link of the certificate order to which you want to add other user access.

  4. In the Order # details pane, in the Order Details section under User Access, select Grant Additional Access.

  5. In the menu, select the limited users to whom you want to grant certificate order access.

  6. Select Save.

Grant a Limited user access to a certificate request (pending order)

To add users, the certificate order must be pending.

When the order is issued, the limited user has permission to access the certificate order, allowing them to download certificates, and perform other certificate-related actions.

  1. In CertCentral, in the left menu, select Certificates > Requests.

  2. On the Requests page, find the request that you need to grant the limited user access to.

  3. In the Order # column, select the order number of the certificate request you want other users to access.

  4. In the Order number details pane, select Edit.

  5. On the Edit Request page, expand Additional Order Options.

  6. Select the Additional users who can manage order box. Select the limited users that need access to the certificate order.

  7. Under Certificate Services Agreement, read through the agreement. Select I agree to the Certificate Services Agreement above.

  8. Select Update Certificate Request.
